Hussey's say goodbye to Bellingham

It's official, our good friends Kevin and Becky Hussey have moved on from Bellingham after 1o years. They left this morning for Kazier, Oregon in pursuit of better jobs and warmer weather. We helped them pack the moving truck last night. Sad!

Before they left, we threw them one killer goodbye party. In true Hussey fasion, I purchased a pony keg (7.75 gallons) from Boundary Bay Brewery and we invited all their closest friends to our house. A good number of people showed up and we still barely made a dent in the keg. Regardless, we had a great time.

(Icing and tapping the keg.)

(Cheers!)

(Pushup contest. I let Kevin win because it was his party.)

(Kevin and Anne Marie celebrate finishing another glass. Granted, Kevin's was a little bigger. Anne Marie held her own though.)

Even though they're in Oregon right now, Becky will be staying with us for part of the week while she finishes up her last week of school.

The Husseys have been a big part of our lives for the last two years. Before they got married, I knew Becky when she went to Western. We had many of the same friends. Then she lived with Anne Marie a few houses down from ours. Kevin and I became good friends after he and Becky started dating. I was a groomsman in their wedding. We played on the same soccer team together for the last two years, went to the same church, were in the same bible study, and oh so much more.

(Kevin and Becky's wedding day.)

(We dressed kevin up real nice for his bachelor party.)

Is anyone noticing a theme yet? This is the second moving-away post I've done this summer. First the Pentzs and now the Husseys. And I have at least one more moving-away post to do before the summer is through. They're my least favorite posts.

Best of luck and God bless you, Husseys! We're going to miss you.
