If you haven't heard yet, there is no grape stomp this year. This is what is posted on the Chateaux Champoux Web site:
"To all our great griends and fans of Chateau Champoux and Champoux Wines. All events for the rest of 2009 have been cancelled. Paul is recovering from West Nile Virus and all our focus is on wellness, rehab and a full recovery. We will see you next year... We have heard, felt and seen your love and concern. "

Yeah, true story. It was pretty scary originally, as paralysis is a symptom of the West Nile Virus (which Uncle Paul did experience). Originally they had no idea what it was and he had been flown to the Portland hospital. Fortunately they've been able to figure it out and he's been recovering slowly but surely.
Wasn't sure what they'd do about the Stomp, but had a feeling it might be canceled. What do you think, should we come up with our own, mini-vacay, gathering-type event instead to take place on the same weekend??
